The Japanese claims they have discovered the foot print of Yeti, snow legendary creatures which is similar with human and be trusted live in the Himalaya mountains -the area between Nepal and Tibet.
"The foot prints are 20 centimeters long and look like human feet," said Yoshiteru Takahashi, the leader of the Yeti travel project travel in Nepal to AFP in Kathmandu.
Takahashi spoke after he returned with the seven-member team for the third time they investigate the existence of the creature -half human and half monkey. Yeti become a legend in the stories of adventure and the western Himalayas mountain climber for several decades.
Although had spend 42 days in the Dhaulagiri IV - around 7,661 meters above sea level where they find the Yeti foot print, the team were failed to record their main object in the film.
Takahashi said that the foot print is a "proof "enough. "My self and other team members have come to the Himalayas several times and we meet bears, deer, snow tiger and wolf," he said. "So we believe that this is real. Foot print and local stories can convince us that the Yeti is not imagination."
Yeti foot print photos can be seen in www.everest.co.jp/yeti2008/ . Japanese team has put nine cameras in some sensitive areas where Takahashi see what he thought as Yeti for several expeditions since 2003. "I see silhouette from the distance of 200 meters. Walk with two feet and 150 centimeters tall, "said Takahashi. The team still plan to continue this project. "We will be back here soon til we get the movies of Yeti," Takahashi reply.
